Many of the photos in the first three books are Eureka and AB 18mm miniatures. Foggy is a splendid painter and some of the pics of the 18mm Bavarians look like they are 28mm figures, the painting and photo work meshed so well. Ian has single-handedly done both sides of the Mexican-American war for our Freedom playtests (Koenig Krieg Wars in the Americas supplement) and I am not sure but Foggy may have already bough the first of his and my Americans and Mexicans from you just recently as well as a load of French Lancers and Cuirassiers Foggy and I are building up for a Waterloo bash next year. Cheers Drew |

Will many British battalions (regiments) at for example Waterloo be rated as small size to reflect their reduced numbers? |
Nadir Shah | 10 Jul 2016 1:20 p.m. PST |
The game is played with regiments of infantry and regiments of cavalry. The British, as always, decided to be individuals and not form up in nicely regulated 2-3 battalion regiments at this time, or anytime for that matter, so that regimental units can be nice and tidy in wargames. Which is why in the case of British "regiments" they are represented by 2-3 battalions per 16 figure regiment. Except for Guards which were usually by themselves over 1000 men. So at Waterloo the 5th Division for example, will be represented by 2 battalions of British infantry per game "regiment". |

Thanks for that. All clear now. |

We have a Free army list summary PDF with over 30 lists including the quirky stuff like Switzerland 1815, Kingdom of Sicily and USA War of 1812 lists. You can download free from our Facebook page link or you can go to our website and download them from there, although please be aware our website is not automatic download but must be manually activated so it may take time based on time zones and when we are asleep or awake here in Oz compared to the when the rest of the world is awake. You know how it is on Australia :) link |
