Sorry to hear that, for many years it was central to my wargame calendar. just wanted to say thanks to all those who made the show possible over the years, I know these things take a lot of effort and should never be taken for granted. Many years ago, tucked away in a corner was an oddly shaped small table with a 6mm WWII tactical game on it. It was inspirational to a direction that I took at that time in my gaming. |

Always one of the 'must go to' shows of the year for me prior to the move away from the university. The new venue never worked for me for some reason but I still attended. For me it was the move in the calender away from early April to May when it was so close to Partizan. I appreciate it moved back again this year but it had lost appeal by then. |

After this year I can't say that I am surprised. Very saddened, but not surprised. It has been a mammoth effort to run such a successful show for so many years and a few shows at the tail end that failed to live up to the previously very high standards that the organisers had set should not take away any praise that should be heaped upon the organisers. Thanks guys for many, many shows that I enjoyed from planning out purchases to making pre-orders and then the big day when you could collect the booty. Always THE show for me over many years, often in the company of good friends and meeting many more at the show. Tony of TTT |

If there is any good to come out of this perhaps it will be that Hammerhead and Partizan will go from strength to strength. |

Bad news, the show was our once a year pass for a night out in a big city. Must admit though the news is no surprise as the show has been on a downhill slope after it left the Octogon. |

Shame. I think the stubborn clinging to 2 days in the face of diminishing attendance on Sundays in recent years along with constant date changes close to other excellent shows finally killed this once "must go to" event. Thanks for many happy years and quite a few awards for games I've been involved in. |

Very sad. Used to be a great show |

Even though it was my local show – over the last couple of years it has been surpassed by Partizan. It will be missed though. |

Sheffield is easy to get to by public transport, and cheap. Newark is much less so and considerably more expensive. Not being a driver makes shows like Triples and Vapnartak good for me but Partisan and Derby not good. |

Derby's more accessible than you might reckon, as the airport shuttle from Derby station is surprisingly reasonably priced, and has a stop by the gates of Donington Park – bit of a walk up the driveway, but not exactly a major bother. |

Damn! Now there will be no recap from Madaxeman to look forward to. |

The best show in the UK!…ok I'm from Sheffield and biased…will be missed:( |

Sad news but not unsurprising. I think most recognised that the expiry date had passed and that the show quality had been superceded by others in close calendar proximity. Many thanks to the Sheffield club for providing so many good years at both venues. |

Thanks for all your kind words guys. I've been a member of Sheffield Wargames Society and presented games at Triples for the past 24 years so I can confirm that the decision wasn't arrived at quickly or easily. In the end though, a considerable majority of the membership supported the change. |

You deserve a big thank you. Running a show is often thankless but you did your part to keep the hobby rolling on. Maybe there could be a future smaller Sheffield show that would be easier to organise. Sort of a "back to roots"? tanks martin |
