First game shop I cut my teeth at (played so much Man'O'War and RPGs). I was there on opening day. I had to move away and could never make it back. I'll miss it for sure. |

Yes, it was last November. I just found out about it. That shows how little I was visiting the place, which had been going downhill for several years. In any case, they left a lot of us with fond memories. |

Sad to see. I used to travel there quiet a bit and I live in Baltimore County. That store and "Little Wars" in Fairfax, VA were super. Joe |

Joep, Still got half a dozen stores in the area though to play in. Grimm |

Yep. Long gone and old news. I really liked the store but the fact they never seemed to discount old, dusty merchandise spoke volumes about why they might have folded. |

Very old news. But there are other stores. |

the fact they never seemed to discount old, dusty merchandise spoke volumes about why they might have folded. That describes a lot of stores. I've often thought, "I've been coming here and seeing this same item for years . If they'd knock 25% off, I'd probably buy it." I've also thought "hasn't that same guy behind the counter gotten tired of watching this thing fade to a filmy blue in the window by now?" |

Hi Grimmnar; My friendly local game store of choice now days is Games and Stuff in, much closer, Glen Burnie, MD. Much closer and they carry everything. But I still have great memories of those Northern Virginia stores. Joep |

When the Army used to send me to Northern VA or DC I would stop in and watch or play in a game. Each trip I would buy something, not much as it had to fit back in my bag but something. Everyone I met was the usual level of gamer nice that I found when traveling- you were welcome to sit in but still a stranger and watched. |
