Always worry about any book showing a known author followed by "with". Usually means the main man couldn't be bothered with the story so passed it down the line. |

or it could mean as it sounds, a series of books that to authors are tackling together. Always worry about a critic from someone who has not read or seen the subject material. hahahaha |

Read them (trilogy with more to follow). Solid writing. Don't be surprised to see some early significant characters die. Waiting for the next set – Second Formic War. |

With that sort of reasoning, I would never have read "The Mote in God's Eye" by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. |

Well, I'd read books by both of them separately, so gave their teamup a go based on individual previous works. Same for Niven/Barnes. I'm just not a fan of OSC. |
