It would never fly though.

Back when I was in Jr ROTC in High School we built quite a few model rockets.

We even built one so that you could put a Gerbil in it.

It was a two stage rocket.

Problem is that the 2nd Stage did not fire until the rocket was coming back down.

Short story it did not end well for the Gerbil, but he was buried with honors.

I notice that the most recent (2012) NAR safety code has dropped the live animal restriction from the payload section.

Anyone know what the logic for that was?
