What glue best suits the above? I know some glues might eat into the foam core. Has anyone tried putting walls together with strong double-sided adhesive tape, instead of glue? |

I've had no problems with white glue. Holds the pieces together and doesn't eat the foam. |

Good quality quick drying PVA, pins and masking tape. Always works for me. |

I've used a hot glue gun, pva or gorilla glue. All worked fine. |

Brads and white glue. Nothing better. |

I use a small glue gun. Dries fast and stays in place. |

I always use UHU Hart, dries way faster than white glue. |

The elastic band is useful keeping bigger structures together once glued. |

The UHU Hart section on their website says it is not suitable for styrofoam: is it OK with the foam core of the board? UHU Por is to be used with styrofoam. What is the foamcore sctually made of? I have no experience with anything other than standard UHU. From a brief test, the standard UHU does not seem to ear into the foam. |

Really you want white glue Alan it does the job much better and its much cheaper. You can pick it up at any DIY outfit. |

Wooden Toothpicks make great nails for holding things together while the glue sets. Leave them in for extra strength to the joints. By inserting them at opposing angles, you can "lock" pieces together. |
