I was always under the impression that Frederick ordered no white horses for Hussars, not even for musicians. Did the 2nd ignore that order? |

The Prussian Hussar regiments had each one a preferred color for the horses. From a previous TMP post, based I believe on informations found in Jany: 1. Füchse (red brown, fox coloured) (especially preferred with white manes and tails) 2. Schimmel (whites – dabble grey – roan) 3. Füchse 4. Schecken (you will have to find the exact English term yourself -multi colloured-Piebald) 5. Schimmel, Falben (yellow), Isabellen (isabella coloured) and Schecken. 6. Braune (brown) and Schimmeln. 7. Rappen (black) 8. Braune and Isabellen. |

It is known that all the horses of this regiment were grey. If you check on internet, you will get confirmation about it |
