WARFARE – Rivermead leisure centre November 19th & 20th

Please find below a link to the floorplan for Warfare traders this year. Whilst there is always the possibility of change this should (fingers crossed) be the final plan.

We have most of your old favourites, though a few are unable to be with us this year, on the bright side we have returning traders who missed last year and of course the space freed up means we also have some exciting new traders for you as well.

You will see below a list of all traders currently attending and a link to the floorplan

NOT ATTENDING

Plastic Soldier Company will not be with us this year, fortunately their excellent products are stocked by many other traders who will be with us so you should not be disappointed.

Stafford Games have ceased trading; I will miss Roland as I am sure will many of you

Battle Studios will not be able to attend this year

Antenociti's Workshop will not be attending this year, a real shame as I love buying "Bits" off of them, a number of other traders will be carrying many of these "bits" though and Antenociti can still be contacted for mail order

Peter Pig – I will miss Peter Pig's 15mm, my Iron Cross British Para army is entirely Peter Pig minis, I am afraid these will not be stocked by any other trader, you will need to purchase from an alternative vendor or directly with Peter Pig

Urban constructs are also unable to attend this year.

I am going a little from memory so may have forgotten someone, apologies in advance.

REATTENDING OR NEW ATTENDEES

Westwind will be back with their own stand again this year so should be able to supply all your needs from their expanding ranges.

Anita Books will be back, Hooray! Missed you last year

Tor Gaming will be with us for the 1st year, they have exciting and different ranges of products, please come along and check them out if you are not already a customer

Tiny Wargames – Seller of awesome mats will be with us for the 1st time this year, I have several of their mats myself, available in both PVC and linen, my favourites are the linen ones (fold up easier), these mats can be a little expensive on shipping so come and collect at the show and save yourself the shipping

Emperor Toads Emporium – May be a new one to many of you, I ran into him at Salute and was very impressed with the large scale, 28mm and larger, models he makes at very reasonable prices, come and see what you think.

Sally 4th will be with us for the 1st year, their range of mdf buildings and accessories are expanding all the time, I know I am very interested in the new pieces available that are suitable for Project Z, who doesn't love a zombie game in a shopping mall!

Modiphius Entertainment will be with us for the 1st year, these are new to me but when I looked them up on Google I found they were the name behind a lot of very interesting games.

Helion Books will be with us for the 1st time this year, they sell some excellent wargaming and history books, along with our other book sellers.
Last and by no means least is River Horse the name behind some great games including Terminator Genisys.

RETURNING TRADERS

And of course most importantly of all, our loyal returning traders many of whom have been with us for more decades than they care to remember!

Remember after Salute in April Warfare in November is quite possibly the biggest and best wargames show in the south of England (OK that is a personal opinion)

still over traded, all the trade in one room is pretty boring not only for the punter but for the trader stuck for two days without some eye candy from the games. It is a good show one of my favourite shows of the year. Hope to see you there next year Martin

CptKremmen30 Jun 2016 7:23 a.m. PST

Personally i refer all the trade to be in one room, you know where everything is then.

Though please remember Great Escape Games and the Dice Bag Lady are in with the Bring and Buy as usual.

I suppose there is nothing wrong with the alternative model of splitting everything up and spreading it around, but i think we are happy with it as it is.

I can't agree with you re over trading, i always have more traders wishing to attend than i have space and i try hard to make sure we have a balanced set of traders. I am very reluctant to bring on a new trader that is selling product other traders are already selling.

I think if you look at the new traders i have added this year they stock almost entirely products that could not be obtained from any of the other traders.

Very glad to hear it is one of your favourite shows of the year, we do try and improve it every year and whilst we don't act on every suggestion (impossible) we do take on as many good ideas and constructive criticisms as we can.

With an enormous amount of effort i managed to speak to every trader last year and can honestly say i don't remember any of them saying they were bored because they had nothing to look at :)

I would strongly urge every visitor though to go and hunt out the other rooms, the bring and buy is one of the best around, the hall where we have all the demo and participation games and some of the competition games is MUCH bigger than the trade hall with some excellent games on display.

Still only £5.00 GBP per person and despite some protests we do not charge for women or children. Any woman or child who feels they would like to pay is welcome to put their entrance fee in the charity donations bucket where it will be greatly appreciated.

Really looking forward to this – my first Warfare!

GUNBOAT30 Jun 2016 8:20 a.m. PST

Andy's right on only putting the trades in one hall is the only option as the bows hall would not take the weight of the trade stand. The club would have to pay out for a new green if damaged.

Andy

I am impressed both with the list of those attending and your magnanimous description of those not able to be there this year, showing how Wargamers should behave

A little bit of a bump just to remind you our very friendly show is only a little over a month away. Hope to see some of you there….

seneffe14 Oct 2016 3:22 p.m. PST

Well I'm looking forward to it. Doing my first demo game in years and years- a miniatures version of the cold war tactical boardgame Eisenbach Gap. I can certainly vouch for the friendliness and helpfulness of the organisers.

Trajanus15 Oct 2016 2:48 a.m. PST

I'm with Andy on the Trade layout. It was a major improvement when Warfare went over to having all the stands in the main hall, or to be exact stopped having games mixed in with them.

The floor space was just not large enough for both and having put games on in the era before they changed things, it wasn't much fun for clubs being in there either.

CptKremmen19 Oct 2016 5:08 a.m. PST

I am looking forward to seeing your Eisenbach game myself. Just placing an order for a ton of GHQ micro armour….

CptKremmen08 Nov 2016 6:05 a.m. PST

2 weeks to go, see you all there.

Warfare is a great show. Looking forward to running our BBB Franco-Prussian demo/participation games: Loigny/Poupry on the Saturday, Beaugency on Sunday. Come along and join in if you can. Hope to meet some fellow TMPers there!

Dr Who WARFARE Episode II

In a galaxy far, far away… Oh wait that's Star Wars! This is Doctor who and while it might be in a galaxy far, far away, you'll have enough problems trying to stay clear of the Daleks without having to worry about The Sith turning up.

The great Timelord The Doctor has got himself in a spot of trouble. Again. Somehow he's been captured by the Daleks, and needs his friends to rescue him. You and other companions have found the Dalek spaceship and have boarded it. Now you must find your way through the maze of the ship AND fight your way through the Daleks. What could possibly go wrong? Make sure you have a stern word with The Doctor when you save him! At least that's if you don't get exterminated first…

Battle past the Daleks to get to The Doctor, who's imprisoned in the centre of the ship. Explore your way through the labyrinth of corridors and rooms, find a key to the room and rescue The Doctor to win. Good Luck.
