"Back in November last year, filmmaker Joseph Piddington launched a Kickstarter project to help fund a documentary he was making about the hobby: Miniature Wargaming The Movie.

That project was successful, and you may have spotted Joseph and his crew at various shows this year as they have been filming (we recorded a short interview with him at Salute)

As the film nears completion, the crew behind the film are once again asking for funding, with new pledges on offer including exclusive miniatures. This new Kickstarter project is running until the 7th August. Even if you don't wish to pledge to the project, the page is worth checking out for the trailer!…"

Why?

Of what possible use is this to anyone? Even the first one has no useful purpose as I can see.

Historical interest, if nothing else. I enjoy watching Pathe clips of Peter Cushing wargaming as an oddity, but there's very little context. Whilst this film won't show the full breadth of the hobby, it will provide a snapshot before new technologies possibly change it beyond recognition.

Something along the lines of Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee?
