Hi gents .

I would like to lnow is someone can help me to identify some miniatures , both for NATO and the soviet bloc , and both in 15 and 20mm .

US and British (both early and late 80s) are easy to find (in plastic and metal , that is) . West germans can be found at elhiem (20mm) or QRF (15mm) , and can be used also to represent danes on norwegians (and incidentally , spanish elite forces , such as marines or paratroopers Canadians , belgians , and dutch , I'm not so sure .
And have no idea about the french , the italians , greek , or turkish forces .

The USSR troopers in 20mm are not so easy to find , at least in plastic , although the old Esci plastic Spetsnaz/paratroopers could be modified -exchanging heads in berets and hats with other heads with helmets- , to represent early 80s elite troops , such as paratroopers or marines (even recon troopers) . The Zvezda ones could be used to represent soviet troopers on the second half or the 80s , I think , althoug they mix reasonably well with elhien miniatures , especially the lines of VDV in afghanistan , or the troops with body armour , at least in 20mm

In 15mm there is a lor of soviet miniatures ot there , from BF to Khurasan to QRF , so no problema there .

But what about the rest of the Warpac?

What miniatures could be used , both in 20 and 15mm to represent the different forces of the WarPac?

I mean polish , zechs , hungarian , etc…

Irregular produce Soviets, which look a bit more East German to me, in 15mm, due to the shape of their helmets.

Depending on the era and location you can use US troops in Vietnam and Soviet Troops in Afghanistan. Those would not work for Western Europe on day one of WWIII but that's what they would look like after a few weeks of campaigning.
