The problem with all miniatures available for "3 musketeers"-types is the totally wrong armament. The one depicted for ex. has something like a broadsword. What was in use is what the French call "épée". In English this is known as a foil (fleuret) which replaced the rapier and was a dueling sword. It was used for stabbing. As far as I know the Redoubt figures come the closest but removing the blade and replacing it with flower wire or similar would be a good solution. |
