If I've learned anything from blogging, it is this (actually, these,) :
'How to' articles, especially when you hit upon something new in techniques or application, are popular.
Photos. Lots of photos. Think you've taken too many photos? Wrong. Got take some more.
Your pre-dreads are a case in point. One pic of your work in progress stuff? Gaah! What are you doing to us?? Go back and make us green with envy, with shots of fleets passing in review, and show off your undeniable talents as a model shipwright.
Grammar. Spelling. Editing. These things are vital to the flow and pace of an article. Take a second to re-read your writing, even when it's just a paragraph or so. It shows that you care. :)
When you 'announce' on a forum that there's an article or update on your blog, always include a quick description and a picture. Wargamers are instinctively visual people. Press their sensory buttons.
