Have searched TMP for advice and hoping I can get an update.

Looking to have some lower class Etruscan spearmen but not sure which (if any) companies compatible with Aventine and Gorgon. Gorgon's 2nd class are large and so far am using Aventine velites/leves as 3rd and 4th class.

Redoubt make Class 1 hoplites and skirmishers (25/26mm).

How do Old Glory and Mirliton hoplites compare with today's 28mm?

Grateful advice.

Thanks

Have you looked at the Crusader Oscan/Samnites? They are smaller than most Crusader figures and the heads are a seperate cast if you want to replace/modify them.

Mirlton may be ok in height but probably not girth.

Thanks for the advice, was concerned when I looked at the Mirliton web page they might look somewhat underfed in comparison!

Have some of the Crusaders, using their Campanian hoplites as mercenaries (mix well with A&A's Samnites). Was hoping not to have to do any alterations if I can avoid it.

With bare heads unarmoured Samnites could be lower class peltast types. Victrix unarmoured Samnites might be an option if I can find enough Victrix bare heads.

Victrix allied legions might do the trick as well.

Thanks for the comment, Victrix are good figures and go well with Aventine and Gorgon.

Will make do for the moment with unarmoured Aventines and spare Agema velites (with bare heads), using Aventine northern Italian shields.

Hi Guys,
We are running a Kickstarter to fund a range of 28mm late period (4th-2nd Century BC) Etruscans. The Campaign is funded but we are now hoping to push on to the stretch goals in our remaining week. Link is here…

I'll try and put something a bit more visually appealing once I remember how to post images into TMP!
Cheers
