The Brexit combined with 15mm.co.uk's 15% off sale this weekend allowed be to start my Napoleon's Battle Peninsula project. I was able to buy all I need for the forces at Albuera at a substantial savings! I just love those Brickdust (old TTG) figures and I am quite excited about this project. |

Perhaps things will change after your presidential elections and we will see the dollar fall. So far, Brexit is costing me money! Petrol up, heating oil up two pence a litre already, that's £20.00 GBP extra on my next fill up, so gaming budget will be hit. No doubt interest rates will fall, so my meagre savings will earn even less. But we are an " independent nation" again! |

My 401k doesn't share your enthusiasm. |

I suspect the real effects of Brexit won't be known or understood. |

They're helping to lower gasoline prices, and mortgage interest rates too. Long-term, Brexit should be good for the UK. |

Having lived through three recessions of which two had a major effect on my savings I have one suggestion. DON'T PANIC! First recession (middle to late 80s) I bought a condo in the middle of it and got a 12.50% interest rate on it. Two years later I renegotiated the loan for 10.00%. It was not fun but I survived. Second recession (early 2000s) my savings in stock market went down by about 1/3. It took about five years from start to finish to make it back. Third recession (2008) my savings in stock market went down by 1/3. Made back about 2/3 of my losses in 2009 and went positive in 2010. Brexit may cost you now but I suspect that in the long run it will help to get rid of a layer of bureaucrats in Belgium who can not be fired. |

As a Brit who lives in Spain, I now have to worry what will happen. So happy some people to get chea toys. But there are people both of sides of the channel who do not know if in 2 years time they will still be allowed to live in the country the have made home. |

I remember a few years ago I visited the US and the pound was worth two dollars and the UK newspaper The Independent's economics team predicted on that basis that the EU would be replacing the US as the world's benchmark economy and the Euro would become the world's leading currency. Ignore the doom and gloom predictions. These people know Jack. It'll all come out in the wash. |

Well I certainly did not want to play on anyone's misery or worry. I suspect it will all play out on a positive note. As for 401ks I am sure mine is taking a beating. I lost almost all of mine in 08 as well as my job. Things have improved greatly since. |

If you're getting a good deal and we're getting exports – what's not to like? A small glimmer of light in a very dark night. Yes we will get over I, but in my lifetime? |

@Advocate- i am reading stories about small businesses in the UK that used to have steady sales of 8 to 10 orders a day to France and Germany, but they have not had a single order since the result on Friday. I tend to agree with your last sentence, heading rapidly towards 70, I expect to have thrown my last dice before this mess is sorted out! |

So much Bah! Humbug! Just saw a conservative politician crying on ther tellie, what drama, they asked us, we gave them an answer and they are crying? Who knew they didn't want a democratic answer. It will all sort its self out unless sore losers want to put the boot in which would be typical of them sorts. In the mean time get your orders in and actually help small business to thrive and prove everyone wrong. |

"In the mean time get your orders in and actually help small business to thrive and prove everyone wrong." Whenever we have to resort to exhorting 'buy British', we know we are doomed. I am so going to enjoy the next ten years sitting on the sidelines smugly saying 'told you so'. I see that Sheffield (which voted leave) has just asked for the £180.00 GBP million of EU regional development funding we were due to be guaranteed. It doesn't work like that peeps. |

People seem to forget where the Euro-Grants money really comes from, not EuroGov but British (and other countries) tax payers. Had an order from Canada because the pound had gone down. |
