I don't like the effect of the light green. They look like stripes.

Timmo uk26 Jun 2016 7:16 a.m. PST

Agree with Winston Smith – they look really quite 'unusual'.

The backs look worse than the fronts…the third one from the left facing front looks OK but the ones next to him, 4th and 5th from left, have an odd highlight on their coats. 1, 2 and 6 look realistic.

your comments are like saying you would kick Jennifer Aniston out of bed for eating crackers.

Tango0126 Jun 2016 12:58 p.m. PST

Well… I loved them! (smile)

Depends which crackers.

Why is it expected that all comments on paint jobs be positive?

historygamer26 Jun 2016 4:01 p.m. PST

Good point Pan, I agree. If you post something on TMP then be prepared to take the good with the bad.

Well, on second thought, the owner of these figures was not the one that posted them. Sooooo…. I dunno. :-(

Terry3726 Jun 2016 7:07 p.m. PST

I suspect they look really nice in person as cameras can be very unkind. I have seen that happen with some of my figures. I think they look very good.

Yes, I think once on the tabletop the eye will blend those "stripes" together.

Sorry. I have to agree about the style of the painting. I see the effect the painter was looking for, but I find that as far as the camera can show, the highlighting appears to cause a stripe effect that takes the eye away from the overall job.

I do like the effect on the overalls, though. I think they come out very well. And I really like the job on the leather kit. I think that comes off exceptionally well.

My two shillings worth.

From other pics from the link, seems to be the fellow style. While some of us may not enjoy his painting, they are his figures and he's happy with and proud of them…aat the end of the day that's what matters (outside of a painting competition.)

There's no way I'd let Jennifer Anniston eat her crackers in my bed :-(

grtbrt26 Dec 2016 8:42 a.m. PST

I have to agree, The paint job makes them seem like their are wearing velvet and velveteen .
Not to my liking -but they can paint them however they want .
the painter may not have posted the picture here, but he posted it elsewhere .

I am not a Jennifer Aniston Fan at all- go to any upscale mall and you can see dozens of more attractive women -most(likely) without her attitude .

Nice Ewald (I assume) with the eye patch?
