I have picked up a really cool 15 MM Ent from Splintered Light with the idea of turning it into some kind of demon creature called forth from the other world by the Nazis. However, I am not coming up with any specific thoughts or ideas beyond this. Any suggestions or references? You can see the figure here, but I see painting it much more sinister and maybe drape some moss or something or some additional evilness on it. link HELP! Thanks, Terry |

You might be able to draw on ideas from the Nazi Occult research, but I have no clues as to what ideas those might be. |

Skulls hanging from the branches. You can't go wrong with skulls |

You could make it something along the lines of a Golem… but not a Golem, as I am sure the Nazis would balk at that. Maybe a nature spirit or even something from the Cthulhu Mythos could fit the bill with a bit of tweaking? If you do a search for "Tree Demon Mythology" you might find something to work with. |

I like the hanging skulls idea. Or do you have a spare mini from the opposing force you could hang from/tie to the tree? |

How about something of the Nordic Green man myths. The Nazis were big into Nordic Mythology so maybe look down those lines? |

A sacrifice tree from one of Odins sacred groves come to life and looking for more sacrifices. Bled out humans and animals hanging upside down from the branches. Norse runes engraved in the trunk… |

Oh, I like the connection to Odin, that bears some real consideration. Thanks for it! Terry |

OK, I think I have found the perfect use for this sinister tree. Mad Monkey 1 got me to considering Odin as a source so I pulled out my books on Wagner's Ring and others I have on Odin and there it was. The Yggdrasil Tree! It played a very big part in the Odin mythology so that's the route I think I will be going with it. My army will be a HotT army so I am not yet sure how I'll be playing it, but most likely as a Behemoth, however, will read the Edda first for a better understanding. Thanks again everyone! Terry |

Oh well! No such look. Seems it was so big, like a world unto itself that it could not serve as an element, so it's back to the drawing boards!!! Terry |
