We are now infected. After a couple of casual games at Joe Richard's last month, and a full out battle with people who knew what they were doing, we want to jump off the deep end and convert all our Warrior armies into Sagas.

We have 3 players, lots of venues (23x23 foot basement,, libraries, churches, etc.) and 3 retires with lots of time and understanding wives (actually, I'm one of the wives, but I also play. Wait to you see my Irish)

Anyone interested?

snurl122 Jun 2016 2:18 a.m. PST

Sounds interesting but I have never played SAGA.

Cleo,

We have a group that plays once a month near Baltimore, there is also a gamer over by Carlisle, but he is rather busy at the moment. Maybe I can make a run up sometime and teach Bob the real nuances of SAGA. Or maybe you can come down to your ole stomping grounds and we can give it a go around here.

Quite simple, but requires Thinking, planning, decision making. Interested? Are you nearby?

Cleo,

It is always the last Sunday of the month at Games and Stuff around 1300 hours. That means that it will be this coming Sunday at 1 pm.

R Lee S22 Jun 2016 3:37 p.m. PST

Let's play Sunday

snurl123 Jun 2016 2:09 a.m. PST

Cleo- I am in Lancaster. You gave me a cookie.

jefritrout23 Jun 2016 7:01 a.m. PST

This Sunday is actually in Baltimore at Games and Stuff, which is an hour and a half from the Lancaster Host. I will make a run up to Lancaster sometime in August to play with you folks up there. Next month is rather busy with Historicon taking up my travel for games.

Cleo and Bob,

Are you going to Historicon? Care for a re-match from the Weekend?

cleo liebl28 Jun 2016 8:45 a.m. PST

Deal. We'll be there Thursday, and are not putting on any games, so we're free most of the time.

Bowman29 Jun 2016 6:47 a.m. PST

OK Cleo you're on!

I arrive on Thursday but have a game scheduled Thursday night. I'm pretty well free the rest of the weekend. I'll get my friend to have a doubles game with you and Bob. First time I played doubles and that worked real well and was a fun game. Too bad the good guys lost. wink

I'll keep an eye out for the matching Hawaiian shirts.

When is the next time people are planning to meet at Games and Stuff for SAGA?

jefritrout29 Jun 2016 8:49 a.m. PST

The next official date for Games and Stuff is July 31st. Although there are folks who are willing to play other days.

ARMY Strong30 Jun 2016 5:08 a.m. PST

I'll be retiring from the Army up there in the next year or so I will have lots of time on my hands to play SAGA.

Hey Cleo, glad to hear you got into Saga. Dewey and I will be at Historicon as well. We would be happy to bring our forces and play with you and Bob. As long as Bob doesn't bake any cookies. My blood sugar couldn't take it. LOL

Hey, count me in! I'll bring Skraelings for Saga and extra Metformin for the cookies.

If enough of us get together then maybe we should get a time to meet.

Cleo,

Lancaster isn't too far for me. I'd be willing to come out and play for the day or evening. I could also bring a few people along.

Hey Bowman, that sounds great. Friday afternoon would work. We arrive Friday morning, get checked in, shop, then ready to play. Not sure what games Dewey has lined up but I am good to go whenever we can arrange.

Should we say 1pm in the big game area? I am sure we can find some open tables.

Cheers

Bowman14 Jul 2016 10:52 a.m. PST

1pm is fine by me. Hopefully we can find each other.

Flashman188914 Jul 2016 7:28 p.m. PST

I will wave my arms about and shout Saga at passersby. LOL
