In a recent find, I came across five bags of figures with this title on them. They appear to be 54mm and cast is grey plastic. There are 5-6 different individuals per bag and each has a label small across the base, such as "Dragoon 1808" and "Mameluk 1809" Anyone have any idea what I have found? |

Yes. Either Mokarex or Cafe Strome figures made in France and given away in coffee tins back in the 60's. Later, sold in bag sets, sometimes with horrible paint jobs. Put up a photo and I'll tell you for sure which one it is.

MondayKnight -- I've been looking for the MOKAREX figure marked as Ottoman "TURK" for my Russo-Turkish War project. If you have any to spare, I would be interested. The third figure from the left is the MOKAREX "TURK" figure.

Dave! You have found them! Thanks! I have six bags of those exact figures. dBerczerk, I will check and see if I have any "Turk" figures and get back with you. Does anyone know the value of these? Are they better still sealed in the bag? Should I open the bags and find exactly what is in there? Heck, just make me an offer and I am sure we can work something out. These are way out of scale for anything I do. Thanks |

Went through the list. All the figures are either personalities for the French Revolution or Cavalry figures for Napoleonics. |

MondayKnight -- Thank you for checking. The Mokarex figures appear on eBay from time to time, going anywhere from .99 to 15.00 each. |

I will start posting something out here, keep them "in the family" so to speak. Not big on eBay, not had a lot of luck. -Will |
