"The playtest of my naval wargames rules and the trial by fire of the 1/600 models happened at the same time. A rather unlikely group of IJN Mikasa and USS St Louis engaged the SMS Brandenburg and SMS Novara…"

When I first read your opening sentence, my first thought was; "Oh, he meant 1/6000."
Wrong. 1/600 Wow!

Tango who made the miniatures? Ive never seen BB of that scale before. Just how long are they miniatures anyway, 5 – 6 inches?

Im curious on such a small game area, what 'ground scale' were you using?

They Look Great!
Love to see more of your ships and encounters at sea.

Part time gamer, I think these are a scratch build project – check out András' blog, some great work there.

@Part time gamer: They are scratch built, mainly from balsa wood. The largest one, the Mikasa is almost exactly 9" long. This was the first playtest of my rules, and I have mentioned in the post that the 200x150cm gaming area proved too small. There is range guessing, but no strict ground scale (the rules need some heavy editing in this regard). If the distance is correct, hits are applied at a scale drawing of the model, from the distance guessed, with a BB or pellet gun.
I'm using TMP very rarely, so if you have any further questions, you can contact me at my blog which Tango01 was kind enough to share in the OP.
