The models can be equipped with spear, sword, mace or two-handed axe (two per sprue, can alternatively be spear-armed). Alternatively, there are two bow arms on the sprue allowing armoured archers to be made up. The spears are the excellent 40mm miniature weapons Fireforge produces. |

Im not familar with Fireforge. Do they include a 'weapons sprue with their infantry sets?
Well 5 torso and 11 head variations, thats pretty good, but I can only I D 2 bow equiped arms, one each armed w/ mace and sword, then theres the two pole axes.
I agree these could be used in lots of ways, depending on shields and weapons you equip them with. |

Im not familar with Fireforge. Do they include a 'weapons sprue with their infantry sets? Their previous infantry sets have not, but I would expect this set to come with one of their new separate plastic spear sprues, to provide pointy sticks that you can add to all those empty hands included. |

There is indeed a spear for each man in the box – on their seperate sprue. I like this one a lot – I used these heads to create Byzantine cavalry out of the GB heavy arab cavalry set. These heads will probably work for elite Sipahi, too. They also form a nice base for heavy Byzantine infantry, and apart from that you can even use them as heavy Russian infantry :-) |
