So it went digital and is now going back to print? Huh. |

Hey are they going to feature otherworld's 28mm figs or Copplestone's 10mm line? "Plus gorgeous photographs of the best fantasy miniatures in the world"

Nicely done, Leidang! I miss those days… Just played a bunch of Dragon Rampant with old Marauder figs (Ally Morrison?) |

Marauder was both Trish and Aly Morrison. |

The weekly mags were a big mistake. My FLGS is flooded with unsold issues. They just don't have enough meat to them to make it worth $4. USD I actually do like the Visions magazine once you get past the advertisements… but its just too much advertisement, which I thought was the main reason for mini White Dwarfs. |

I thought they were going to change the name to Blue Dwarf and really shake things up. |
chuck05 | 17 Jun 2016 5:53 p.m. PST |
Shouldnt it be White Duardin now? |
Mithmee | 17 Jun 2016 6:03 p.m. PST |
Okay but what will the cost per issue be? Plus will it go back to what is was two decades ago, or will it just be a very over priced advertisement that you pay for? This is GW and I expect to cost too much and just be filled with photos of their over priced miniatures that they want you to buy. |

Hmm, I think not. |

The weekly mags were a big mistake. My FLGS is flooded with unsold issues. That's hardly unusual, as near as I've seen. That has to be one of the dumbest ideas in the history of minis gaming. |

It was done by GW, so no surprises there. |

The weekly mags were a big mistake. My FLGS is flooded with unsold issues. So is mine HOWEVER, unless the policy has changed, you could return unsold magazines for credit to your account. It might just be a lazy owner, that would certainly apply to my shop owner! |

I've seen the local store clipping the barcodes to return to GW for credit so it's certainly possible. Weekly was always stupid as it became nothing more than an advertising pamphlet without even the semblance of any real content. Battle reports and modelling have petty much disappeared from it. |
Mithmee | 18 Jun 2016 4:18 p.m. PST |
Well it has only been an advertisement magazine that the GW Fanboys paid for. |
wizbangs | 27 Jun 2016 5:12 a.m. PST |
Where are the comments from the GW Fan Boys about what a great business decision this is, and how GW had been planning it all along and how none of us know how to run a business? |
Mithmee | 27 Jun 2016 8:17 a.m. PST |
Those are in other threads. |

I'm cautiously optimistic. There were a half dozen or so White Dwarf weekly issues that were relevant to my interested (new missions for Space Hulk, an entire free supplement for LOTR/Hobbit SBG, etc). With GW relaunching LOTR/Hobbit as "Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game" later this year, I've got my fingers crossed for some new SBG content. |
