Hi all, I'm looking for a ragged 28mm knight for a fantasy warband I'm putting together. Something like the mounted Mordheim knight (I'd buy him, but he's a bit expensive via ebay).
I'm planning to use him with these guys.
Any ideas? Cheers! |

My first instinct is to mix bits from Perry's plastic WOTR men-at-arms set and Northstar's plastic Frostgrave warband. You can even do them in foot and mounted versions too. |

Thanks, that's not a bad idea. The two ranges mix well? I've got Frotgrave (cultists), but no Perry stuff. |

Frostgrave and Fireforge work well together, sculpt-wise and timeframe. Perry work fine sculpt-wise with both but are not necessarily compatible time-wise (though if converting and doing fantasy that should not stop you). |

I checked – the Perry figures are a little taller and thinner; the Frostgrave figures have a more hunched and padded look. But the heads are about the same size, so they will mix. Another option is to use plastic Greatswords with Bretonnian men-at-arms parts, I guess. That way you can be sure they are GW size. |

Otherworld miniatures has a knight (Fighter) in a bucket helm that might work for you. They have a few other figs that might be of use as well. |

A bit expensive is right, but that's one cool figure! Sad I didn't pay enough attention to the Mordheim stuff when it came out. |
