Was wondering whether I could use the figures from Gripping Beast's Arab Heavy Cavalry as Seljuk Ghulams. From the pictures it sure looks so. I love the Perry figures but none of the heavy cavalry are depicted firing bow. Beyond the price the GB box looks promising in this area. Thanks for any help on the matter.

This set is a bit of a quarry for Islamic themed cavalry, and imho better suited to some other projects then actual "Arab" cavalry.

Get yourself some spruepics from both the "heavy" and "light" cavalry and decide for yourself, looking at contemporary depictions (provided among others regularly by Druzhina here).

I have stocked up on them as a base for my early 16th century Sipahi and Akinci project…
