A couple of people have asked to see a side by side comparison of Front Rank 100YW and Games Workshop figures. Here you go. link Cheers Brian

Kind of figured (no pun intended) that Front Rank and GW would size up well together. Anyone sell Front Rank in the States? |

Not sure but FR's mail order from the UK is excellent. Never had a problem and don't know anyone who has. |

Depending on the exchange rate, it is sometimes better to order directly from Front Rank. They have exceptional service. |

I have ordered several times from Front Rank directly and had excellent service (here to USA). I have a large number of Front Rank, and Black Tree Averaign/HYW also, mixed in with my Bretonnians (both metal and plastic). The shields for pavisiers from FR even match up well with the shields from the Bretonnian plastic men-at-arms kit. I use early HYW FR with my Bretonnians, as well as some of the later HYW range, but some of FR's later HYW period range also work stylistically with Empire figures. Mounted are a bit trickier. As said above, FR horses are not compatible with plastic GW horses, but FR riders are spot on with metal GW riders and work fine with GW plastic riders (Bretonnian more so than the oversized Empire plastic Knights). I have a ton of extra GW horses, but Black Tree metal horses are compatible if not a perfect match. The one exception is the BTD armored horse for their fantasy Helsinian range--the figures and riders from Helsinian are too small to use with GW, but the armored horse works wonderfully both size and stylistically with the plastic Empire armored horses. I heavily supplemented my mounted Bretonnians with FR early HYW and FR later HYW I use with metal Reiksguard figures and Voland's Venators. |
