Bought a large Pictish army from Splintered Light. I would like to have some Carnyx figures for the command stands. I was wondering if you all had any suggestions where I could find some good figures that would fit. I know Essex makes a figure and that's my fall back at the moment, was just wondering if I had any other options. Thanks! Stanton |

Old Glory 15's have an Early German Command pack with one variant. I could have sworn there were two different ones, but I may be mistaken. oldglory15s.com/Command-GR01.htm OG are a bit bigger than SL, but I would happily mix them. That, and what I presume is the noted Essex British/Gallic command pack, is all I can think of. |

At least two Minifigs command sets include guys with a carnyx: Z86 Gallic or Vandals Infantry Command Z91 Spanish Infantry Command link I'm afraid I don't know how they compare size-wise to Splintered Light. |

Donnington – link – sold as single figures so you won't get stuck with other command types that you may not want. |

Blue Moon have some very nice carnyx players in their 15RAE-100 Gaul Foot Command pack. Two caveats, though. First, Blue Moon are 18mm figures, and I am not sure how well they would match up with your Splintered Light Picts. Second, each of the Blue Moon packs includes 10 carnyx players, along with 10 standard bearers and 10 leaders, which may be rather more than you want. Great looking figures, though! Cheers, Scott |

How about plain old Essex Gauls? I'm sure there is one in there. We really do need (?) (OK, "Want") a wider choice of bagpipers for 15mm. I guess the UK manufacturers don't realize how pervasive they are in US Military/Law Enforcement these days. If I knew where my leftover Gaul command are, I would offer them up in trade. I will look around. I bought a package (2012?) for the Boar Standard for my (Arkansas) Andalusian Orcs. Woo Pigg Sooee! |

Thanks! I have a few acquired when they were Feudal Castings. just never noticed that one. It is too late to get one sculpted as an EIR musician in the "War and Empire" release. Hm, maybe I would be motivated to paint a Carnyx Band (sorps); I found an Alain Touler, Corvus Belli and Falcon (US), just not the Essex. Which means the Essex are still around somewhere. |

@ Panfilov I've just emailed Wendy at Westwind, to ask about their possible inclusion if Andy does generals packs for Picts and Scots/Irish. Here's hoping. |

They have a Carnyx player in one of their Celtic packs, but it includes 23 other figures with shields not known to be used by the Picts. I ended up ordering some from several different manufacutrers that you all had listed so I will have a variety. Thank you all! |

@ Panilov Andy replied and said he liked the idea of bagpipers, but unfortunately it was too late for inclusion. |
