Hi, I know Historicon 2016 hasn't happened yet but I was wondering if the dates for 2017 have been picked yet. I ask because I need to fill out my vacation dates for work a year in advance. If I can get them on the calendar soon, I can have the time off to attend. |

Best to go to the website an see. And if all else fails by HCon 2016 they should be announced. Grimm |

I must be blind. All I saw was the listing for this year. I even looked at their little calendar app and it was blank for next year. Thanks everyone. |

Don't think Historicon is ever going back to the Host snurl1. |

Just wondering on what "evidence" you base your statement, kallman? I know your recent move makes it difficult for you to attend HMGS (East) conventions, including the membership meetings, so it can't be anything that you found out there. If recent history with HMGS and its conventions has taught us anything (Baltimore, Fredericksburg, the sale of the Host, etc.), it's that anything can happen. We'll see. |

Gee, Ronin chill. He only said the "thought" it wouldn't go back. He never indicated that he had prove, and more than you have proof that it will. |

I'm very "chill," thank you. I'll leave it at that for now. |

I suspect everything is up in the air right now. A lot might depend on what happens at the Host with the new owners before any determinations are made. |

it's that anything can happen. The only way Historicon will ever go back to the Host is if the facilities are fully remodeled. The lack of functional AC in both the building and rooms, combined with the boiler and rest room issues will only be amplified by an additional 1500 people. |

I liked Philly. Except for the locals. |

I liked Valley Forge. But that's me. |

Valley Forge would work as well, if the costs could be met. |

Troops, the ax has fallen and the die been cast: it's retreated across the Delaware to Somerset, NJ. Definitely a bridge to far for many of us, but good news for the new combined Williamsburg conventions in May |

I liked Philly, it was only an hour away. Even NJ will be at least a two hour drive. |
