Here is an AAR from one point of view (my own) that we played over the last two Monday nights.
Last night we concluded our massive multiplayer Lion Rampant game. Each player/retinue had 2 or 3 objectives. Playing Byzantines my goals were (1) recover some buried gold thought to still be hidden in a ruined city and (2) kill the evil Crusader Sir Ivor who had sacked Constantinople and was particularly notorious.
Each retinue appeared on the table at a random location. Luckily for me Sir Ivor lay between myself and the smelly Vikings who also wanted him dead. The first week saw me enter on from the east edge, aiming for the village to the SW. Unfortunately the gold had already been dug up and was being hustled north. So I had to reverse course and try to head the gold off at the pass. Week one I basically marched all game.
Last night we concluded. My counter march led me directly toward Sir Ivor who was facing way from me, trying to hold off the Viking swarms. My strike went true. I overran his archers in a trice with my knights, then finished off his mounted troops (who had been greatly reduced by the Vikings). Sir Ivor was killed (he was the last of his retinue to fall) and the truce between myself and the vikings held.
Meanwhile. the Arabs were trying to escape the Teutonic knights and get away with the gold. They reached the citadel but were caught then between the Vikings and a newly arrived retinue of French crusaders. Almost entirely wiped out, the gold fell in to the hands of the Vikings.
At the end of the game my Byzantines were largely unscathed as were the Teutonic knights. Almost all the other retinues had heavy losses and were looking to find a way home.
A rollicking good time with a super simple set of rules (which we tweaked slightly).
