As you voted – TMP link – a Dawghousing for a Personal Attack can now be rescinded if the victim says he was not offended.

The TMP FAQ has been updated accordingly.

Winston Smith13 Jun 2016 5:49 p.m. PST

And there was much rejoicing…

If I am not offended, where's the crime?

R Brown13 Jun 2016 6:39 p.m. PST

LMAO.

Yep…this Bleeped text matters on TMP.

"I'm offended that you were not offended".

Lee Brilleaux Fezian13 Jun 2016 6:51 p.m. PST

The OFM and I will now start a session of calling one another names, on the understanding that the other will proclaim his under-offendedness.

RavenscraftCybernetics13 Jun 2016 7:18 p.m. PST

so do we need a Saul Goodman button next to the complaint button?

Korvessa13 Jun 2016 8:12 p.m. PST

This would never fly in court or in a Internal Affairs Investigation

About implementation… how is this going on?

Example:
X person wrote a personal attack about W person…

-Bill takes note and ask W person if he is ok with that?.

-Or if W person does not complain… not crime by X person?

-If another fellow member complain… Bill ask W person what to do?…

-No matter what X person have wrote? (for example an xenophobe hate attack)… W person is allowed to pardon him?.

-The rest of TMP community should know this or everything ended in the private sphere?…

Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Senor squint.
Ahem.
You are like a stream of bat's Bleeped text.
You shine out like a shaft of gold when all around is dark.

Let's see if or how well this rule works. But I do see it as a positive move … but we'll see. I'm in the DH so often, I can't remember what I said to get there … But No matter what the "new rules". I'm sure the powers that be will find a way to "Send me up river " … again. huh?

Lee Brilleaux Fezian14 Jun 2016 6:36 a.m. PST

John tells me he has some stuff to put up on the marketplace before we can get down to the hail of abuse. Slack-jawed turniphead that he is.

Winston Smith14 Jun 2016 7:43 a.m. PST

Note that Dear Editor Bill says "can be rescinded", and not that it will be.
It's a mitigating factor in the sentencing.
He will not draw and quarter you, but you still get 40 lashes. Lest one.

Weasel14 Jun 2016 7:48 a.m. PST

well, make sure you've done all relevant posting before you test the new waters ;)

Every thing you type can and will be used against you – third party intervention or no.

I can also trick Senor Squint into insulting me, and then leave him in the lurch!
Bwahahahaha!

Winston Smith14 Jun 2016 6:05 p.m. PST

There is still profanity that is now not bleeped but gets you the DH anyway.

So pretty much things will generally remain the same … overall.

Winston Smith15 Jun 2016 9:45 a.m. PST

Gunfreak, what if John the OFM insulted me?

Tango0115 Jun 2016 10:43 a.m. PST

None of my questions were answered… (smile)

About implementation… how is this going on?

Hasn't come up yet.

Example:
X person wrote a personal attack about W person…

-Bill takes note and ask W person if he is ok with that?.

No way, too much time.

-Or if W person does not complain… not crime by X person?

No, we'll still flag personal attacks as before.

-If another fellow member complain… Bill ask W person what to do?…

No

-No matter what X person have wrote? (for example an xenophobe hate attack)… W person is allowed to pardon him?.

We'll exercise discretion in the extreme situations.
