Anyone know ? When a unit becomes disordered ( moving in difficult terrain of from being shot at ) how do you remove the disorder ?

Bashytubits13 Jun 2016 9:53 a.m. PST

On page 14 of the rule book read the Ready order card. This will remove a disorder.

How do you like the rules?

Bashytubits13 Jun 2016 12:29 p.m. PST

I haven't actually played them yet because my forces are not yet painted, but these are the rules I have decided to use for TYW.

I'm in the same boat, armies not painted and these being the rules of choice. :) Going the 1/72 route with loads of Revell TYW and some of the Zeveda Austrian Musket and Pike.

I have played two games using the basic rules and find them to be quite good.

They have a forum in English which I find helpful.

You can see one of our games on the Wargamorium Blog

Nice game. I really like the way one base is one unit. I see they have a second book that has come out in Spanish, "Kingdoms". Any idea if it will be in English any time soon? Looks like it covers the ECW and the Eastern European wars.

Broglie13 Jun 2016 3:31 p.m. PST

Thank you.

As my interest is confined to the Franco Spanish War 1635 to 1659 rather then the TYW I have not looked at Kingdoms which does not cover that war. Perhaps if you look through the Forum?

I hope you enjoy the rules.

Regards

mad monkey 1, the El Kraken Released admins stated that Kingdoms will be released in English at the release point for the KS, which is September 2016. See the KS for more info. Here is the cut/paste from March 8:

Hi, Andy
We expect to have Kindoms translated by the time we ship the miniatures.

We had quite a good first game last night , the only ''but'' being the courage dice . Courage dice act as a saving throw in shooting and melee and allow you to save , a 4 plus against muskets ( salvo ) and a 6 against arty . The save is a 5 plus in melee.
Most units get 3 or 4 courage dice , so 3 or 4 attempts to save any hits received . We found on average that saves became the order of the day and the ability to ''do'' anything became a little frustrating .

If you think the courage dice have too much influence on casualties just reduce them by 1 or 2 dice. There is nothing preventing you from fiddling with something that bothers you. I will have to read up on the courage thing. 3 or four dice with a 50% chance to save hits does seem a bit strong.
