The victorious imperial army enters the dead city in pursuit of Ahkrysyohs the Disciple of the god Qurosh'g. They see him enter the pyramid in the center of the city. Then the battle resumes, to the surprise of the victors….

The battle of the pyramid concludes. The heroes are readying themselves for the final confrontation. But first, they must descend further into the depths of "Melinarth Beneath", in search of their foes: Ahkrysyohs the Disciple, and the "god of plagues", Qurosh'g, aka as Ghrusoq the wraith….

The thick plottens! :D

If all goes well, we shall continue, and possibly conclude, this saga of good versus "evil", next Saturday the 30th. I qualify the word "evil", because the wrinkle is a final confrontation with the full power of "the god of flies and plagues", or in other word, life and death itself.

The heroes have no conception of the depth of reality they are to be subjected to. The challenge. Even I am utterly uncertain of the outcome. So, as GM (and my companion GM, Matt Carlson, has lost his power to intervene with ideas: the worm in my brain has twisted the story arc at last into this wonderful thing at the end), I am the most entertained of us all. My enthusiasm has finally been engaged to the full. The week can only get better as I polish the details. (If you have read the above linked blog update, you'll need to read it again to get a clue what the blather is about….)

Okay, the big showdown is still ahead of us. We did have a terrific little bash with ambushing guards, in the confines of the pyramid complex….
