Hi guys

We have 3 Spanish infantry regts, and some foot artillery finished on commission, haven't painted Spanish before and enjoyed it, very colourful, all figs are AB, the 3 infantry regts are
I° Reggimento Veneto Real
39th Regiment (Napoles)
Walloon Guard

Almost as good as mine – no, just joking – they are lovely.

I love Spanish! They don't get much credit in most Napoleonic rules, but they can actually do pretty good on the table. But really, how good do they have to fight when they look so danged marvelous?!? Beautiful work, gentlemen!

great work mate

how do you go painting them being so close together?

Gunner Dunbar15 Jun 2016 2:53 a.m. PST

I find it easier with them close together, my brush ones that have to travel far to get to the next figure, not a big thing when your painting figs for yourself, but when your painting a lot of figs to a time table anything that can cut down time is helpful.

I love the painting but have a couple of questions…

Shouldn't the Napoles regiment have sky blue coats? It could be just the photos, but it looks like they have the same dark blue as the Walloon Guard!

Are you really sure that the I° Reggimento Veneto Real is a Spanish Infantry regiment. I would have placed it against Napoleon in the Italian campaign.

Gunner Dunbar16 Jun 2016 4:02 a.m. PST

Yes it's the photo, it does not have the same blue as the Walloon Guard, to be honest I'm not sure if it served with the Spanish, just painted them for a customer and assumed.
