I am in the process of gathering information for my Magnificent Seven project and I am currently looking for 28mm Adobe/Stucco/stone Mexican style buildings. What do you suggest?

Make them yourself, dead easy to do.

What a great film. I ended up staying up really really late one night watching it on tv a few months ago. It's as good as I remembered it from my childhood.

Old glory has some

Check out 4 ground's saga desert buildings.

I agree with Nick. I use foamcore, covered with spackle, painted yellowish off-white,and dirtied up. I did eight or so in an afternoon.

I will look into it. I'm not very good at free hand stuff like that. :-)

I'll almost always suggest 4ground's stuff.
Prepainted, so it saves a bucket of time and mess and most importantly, looks pretty good.

Robust.

Good 'play' features (opening doors, removable roofs, internal detail).

Also look at Crescent Root buildings---some of their Mid-East range would be useful for Mexico.

The Art of Wargming.

These are the resin buildings that Crescent Root made before they went to MDF. The service was excellent by the way.

If you do not want to cut the form board yourself perhaps the most economical and best way to go is to order from Gamecraft Miniatures and go to their Middle Eastern Foamboard kits.

I have done a lot of business with Gamecrafters and his products are top notch and he ships pretty fast.

Another vote for Crescent Root. I use their flat roofed adobe buildings for India, Afghanistan and Mexico. Great for skirmish games because all the roofs lift off. Old Glory makes a useful church with a bell tower. Don't forget that some of the houses in the village in the movie had thatched roofs.

How is the quality with "The Art of Wargaming" stuff from the old CR molds? Pretty good? I want to grab a few more adobe buildings.

You could look at a combination of our Middle Eastern and Mediterranean ranges:

The models come already painted as you see them in the pictures.

If you don't mind MDF and are interested in using your artistic skills, the Knights of Dice Tabula Rasa desert buildings provide a structure that you can modify/detail to suit your period and locale:

+1 to nnascati and Hafen: I made a bunch out of foam packing material and foamboard, some popsicle stick door and window frames/boardwalk/roof hatches, spackle, sand, and paint. The hardest thing was getting the spackle/sand color even between batches.

Check out Sarissa Precision's South of the Border range.. I have a few of their kits and they look real nice
