"CLEVERMAN is a startlingly original drama rooted in Aboriginal mythology. The series depicts a deeply conflicted and anxious dystopian society, fearful of a minority group living among them, endowed with extraordinary physical traits. One young man – The Cleverman struggles with his own power and the responsibility to unite this divided world, but he must first overcome a deep estrangement from his older brother. Iain Glen, Ryan Corr and Frances O'Connor lead the cast." YouTube link Amicalement Armand |

What a startlingly original concept: Rich, white men are evil! |

If that's all you got from the show…. I'm only one episode in so far, but I'm still curious to find out what's going on. Aboriginal Dream-Time religion is strange, and I know very little about it. |

Growing up in the late sixties in the US, some of the first books I read talked about the evil white man who enslaved people, took their lands and were so greedy. I remember going into my parents room one night because I had a bad dream about the "white men taking our house and splitting our family up." My dad told me I was a white man which I vehemently denied (my skin tone has always been a bit reddish). He then asked me where I learned that and immediately took those books and threw them in the garbage. |

My eighth-grade teacher took the whole class to see Walkabout at the local movie theater. Had to get two permission slips signed by parents: One to go off-campus, another because of the "brief nudity." Thank you, Mrs. Shanklin. |

He then asked me where I learned that and immediately took those books and threw them in the garbage. Hmmm, says more about your dad than about the books. |

Eighth grade? That would have taken care of a couple of years of fantasies for me… |

Eighth grade? That would have taken care of a couple of years of fantasies for me… Yes, it did for me, too, until Logan's Run came out and kickstarted the whole thing all over again. |

Yep,she was really the only good thing about that movie,IMO. And don't get me started about the shower scene in "American Werewolf"! And now she's a nun! :( |
