I would like people's opinions on the best rivers available as ready to play or nearly ready to play style. I am leading towards GF9 Battlefield in a Box but wondered if anything better is out there in people's experience. I am going to use for 15mm.

The best looking and most versatile streams and creeks that I have seen commercially available are Doug Klein's from Battlefield Terrain Concepts. As to weather they would make good rivers is a matter of scale.

A lot of it depends upon what you want.

I kind of like the Pegasus ones with a bit of a touch up to improve it (water effects over the water, some flocking, and a few modified as a ford and similar).

You can do a lot more to it than that, but it ends up looking very good and the stuff is very sturdy.

Though, if you don't mind a bit more work, Amera's river pieces are wonderful and you can do a lot with them to blend them into whatever board you have and there are a lot of options for pieces.

Second BTC. Flocked and ready to go. Best stuff on the market. You can get various widths and connectors to join them. I have a mile of them (but still need more)!

I would say Joe Linares – Wargamer's Terrain out of Massachusets has incredible rivers. I would say the best out there.

Second Wargamer's Terrain, Joe is great to work with.

Wizard Karft rivers are very nice. They lay flat and are very durable.

Sometimes a little hard to come by them since Will is a one man operation.

Another vote for Wizard Kraft. A variety of widths, connectors, very nice stuff.

I'm partial to JR Miniatures, myself. But maybe that's just me.
