Another productive week of painting more figures for the El Cid collection, A bunch of Pilgrims to use as either a unit of levy or as vignettes with the baggage and a few more Caballeros.

El Cid was a childhood hero of mine thanks to a grade school book of Knights and Lords that I checked out of my school's library and a visit to Spain. These are very cool.

Those peasants are great figs. Love the muted tones and the use of blues to brighten and tie together.

Looks like the Canterbury Tales! Maybe 'Catalan'.

Great work again – gives me good ideas for ancient baggage (have some of Black Tree's Greek civilians).

By the way, presume Charlton Heston will be leading the host? Still have fond memories of the movie!
