I was wondering if anyone can confirm if this Necron was a GW figure or a conversion? If it was a conversion, any idea of where the upper body came from?

Don't think it's official GW. Head is more human than the stylised Necron skull. Limbs look like copies of the style of the first metal Necrons released. Fan sculpt or scan and 3D print?

What material is it and where is the picture from?

The pictures are from 2 different Ebay auctions. The descriptions said the figures were pewter.

There was an Inquisitor scale Necron made by GW, but it never got to the moldmaking stage so no copied of it exist other than the original, which (when I went to the UK in 2007) they couldn't find.

OK, so it sounds like someone caste a few of these suckers up. I have seen about 5 of them on Ebay over the past 4 years.
