I already have Rendera tents and they are fine. But I was looking for something a bit bigger like a Generals tent.
Plastic is good, no paper, MDF or laser cut stuff, please.
I don't use those.

Any plans for a DIY is good. I can make my own from a plan.

Why not use tissue paper soaked in diluted Elmers glue draped over a frame? I have done this for wagon coverings and once dry and painted looks very good. Plus it's sturdy and very cheap to do.

I'm assuming from the above, that you mean in 28mm (and it isn't clear what period) … anyway, Timpo make a cheap plastic 'knight's' tent in 1:32 … it is not particularly big and I've always thought it'd be just as good as big 28mm tent …

If you use rubber cement instead of white glue, it will feel like canvas and paints up nicely.

Try miniatures in plastic. They might have a tent that would work

If you mean ones like the Ridge tents from Renedera..then make your own.

Check out Toy Soldier Depot. Tents are listed as 1/32nd scale, but will easily work for 28m.

I'm looking for 28 mm Marquis type tent. Any sort of plan or drawing would be fine. Something along the lines of what Pauls
Bods did with the Knights tent.

This one?

The only other one I´ve seen was at Wargames illustrated, strangely, it turned up a couple of weeks after mine, better drawn though.
Copy and Enlarge the one I´ve made (?) and, you can "plasticise" it by drizzling liquid plastic cement over it. I use revell contacta, Goes as hard as a rock.
idea or..make the sections out of plastic card

Not a marquis tent its 19th Century style but it might work. It's 4"x3.5"

Paul, No. That's not it. I was comparing your plans for the Knights tent, to what I need (plans) to make the Marquis tent. Thanks, anyway.

Pauls Bods13 Jun 2016 7:49 a.m. PST

@ Bill…have you got a link to which type of tent you have in mind. I could have a go at making a Plan or A template.

Sigwald13 Jun 2016 10:02 a.m. PST

I hope I wasn't misleading as the toy tent I linked to above, sold as an ACW style tent, was actually used in the 18th century if that is what he's after.

Table Top Props. I have a couple of these. They're really cool.
