Sure but I swear in general conversation. Eight years in the navy desensitizes the impact of swearing. |

Ivan DBA | 10 Jun 2016 7:28 p.m. PST |
Very rarely. Now that I'm an adult with a small child, I don't swear very much anymore. |
FingerandToeGlenn | 10 Jun 2016 7:29 p.m. PST |
Unless the grandkids are present. |
Centrino | 10 Jun 2016 7:45 p.m. PST |
I do not. I don't do it in general or even with just close friends. |
gamertom | 10 Jun 2016 8:04 p.m. PST |
Swear? In a game? What in $#%! you talking about? |
USAFpilot | 10 Jun 2016 8:07 p.m. PST |
No. There are lots of things in life to get mad about and let out a few swear words; gaming is not one of them. It's just a game; nobody really dies. Be magnanimous in winning and stoic in losing. |
wrgmr1 | 10 Jun 2016 8:07 p.m. PST |
Dirty DIRTY cream of wheat! Scottish swear words. It happens in our group, but rarely. |
Doug MSC | 10 Jun 2016 8:10 p.m. PST |
Nope, gave it up years ago. Neither do any of the guys who game with me. |

I use "magic" words when the occasion and make-up of the players allow. |
Winston Smith | 10 Jun 2016 10:39 p.m. PST |
Of course I do. What a silly question. |

Martin Rapier | 10 Jun 2016 11:30 p.m. PST |
I'm British, so Anglo-Saxon does feature from time to time. Just as it does in every other social setting (although perhaps not in front of the queen). |

Only when something goes wrong, so quite often in fact. And when I swear it is usually in Czech, which is quite satisfying. I can recommend it. |

No. Not gentlemanly.and am normally a guest at someone's house. Manners have not died yet. |
Major Mike | 11 Jun 2016 4:01 a.m. PST |
Having grown up in a house where colorful metaphors were used and worked in an environment where they were also commonly found, it is hard to not have the occasional one leak out. I work at it to be gentlemanly, but I'm not always successful. |

Rrobbyrobot | 11 Jun 2016 7:09 a.m. PST |
I swear few oaths during games. My dice just won't support such. I have been known to be quite profane at times, however… |
Rdfraf | 11 Jun 2016 7:13 a.m. PST |
Never thought about it but now one asks and I don't recall anyone in my gaming group ever swearing. |
Cerdic | 11 Jun 2016 7:20 a.m. PST |
I also agree with MartinR. I do, however, live in London. It is compulsory here to use the 'f' word roughly every fifth word you say. Unless you are talking to the Queen. For a flavour of London speech patterns I suggest googling 'Malcolm Tucker'! |
Bismarck | 11 Jun 2016 8:42 a.m. PST |
I thought about this after a recent game with friends. None of whom I have ever heard utter a curse word. I am not as bad as back in the Corps or before I retired, but still will drop more 4 letter or better words than I should. Like Grignotage said…never out of anger. Mostly after making a bonehead move, my own poor die rolls or in exclamation of amazement at the good ones of my fellow gamers or opponents, or mostly after senior moments and having to be reminded of what I need to make a successful die roll. |

Certainly, usually combined with laughing at my troops poor firing skills being a statistical anomaly. With the kid around, I try to moderate my language though. |

Mute Bystander | 11 Jun 2016 1:16 p.m. PST |
Hopefully never but on a rare moment I am sure a "feces" comment might slip the lips – I save stronger language for accident scenes or life endangering actions. |
Shagnasty | 11 Jun 2016 2:12 p.m. PST |
