Great Saturday morning skirmish game at CanGames 40th in Ottawa using The Face of Battle rules in 20mm. February 1945, Canadians with supporting armour and British funnies assaulting Panzer Lehr and German Paratroopers near Calcar, Germany.

Canadian units arrived in a Buffalo, a Kangaroo and universal carriers. Supported with flail tanks, facine tanks, an AVRE and a flame throwing crocodile.

German units only could muster a 234/2 Puma and a Nashorn. Infantry were dug into bunkers and behind mine fields. A small assault group of paratoopers paddled to secure the "island".

Two high ranking Canadian officers were trapped behind enemy lines. Each side had multiple and different objectives. The game ended in a very close draw as the Canadians could not push into the crossroads under heavy MG and anti-tank fire while the Germans could not take the island or capture either of the two officers.
