And did it make any difference to his conduct?
No research needed, just offer your opinion.

Napoleon despised cats and would not allow them in the same room as him. He sometimes had an allergic reaction if cats were about.

Niether.

I'd describe him as an "eagle person".

Saber6,great story; he should have tried to enlist them!

I wonder if that was the origin of his maxim that "an army of rabbits, lead by a lion,is better than an army of lions, lead by a rabbit"?

Napoleon was an evil person. Therefore he could not have been a dog person.

didn't he need his bottom spanked in order to produce an heir … so maybe theres some dog influence …

KTravlos10 Jun 2016 10:45 a.m. PST

Napoleon does not need pets. His whole country is a pet.

I've always thought of him as a miniature horse person

Allen5710 Jun 2016 11:41 a.m. PST

He was French/Corsican. His only interest in either would be as a gourmet meal.

Napoleon didn't like cats…

Not much dogs either…

Yes Eagles would have turned the tide at Waterloo as they did in the Battle of the Five Armies

Jeigheff10 Jun 2016 4:40 p.m. PST

Napoleon just never met the right cat (like ours!)

USAFpilot10 Jun 2016 8:13 p.m. PST

I don't think he was a pet person at all. His great big logical mind was too busy conquering the world to give pets much thought. He did appreciate the importance of the honey bee though.

Tango0110 Jun 2016 10:52 p.m. PST

He loves Bees…

A Josephine person a wild cat but no dog.

A power person. Not suitable to care for dogs or cats IMO.

Own a dog currently and multiple cats in the past. Dude was a great general/politician but I suspect a minimal pet owner at best.
