I noticed that today's header is dedicated to American military action in Korea in 1871. While I was a graduate student at the University of Kentucky I used to visit the Lexington cemetery frequently. In addition to the graves of Henry Clay, a number of Civil War Generals, and the vice president of the Confederacy, one can also find a huge monument to an American officer who was killed in Korea in 1871. If anyone has a chance to visit the Lexington cemetery, then I suggest that you take advantage of this opportunity. If you are a History nerd like myself, then you will certainly find the day spent at the site well worth it. I for one was unaware of the military action that the US took in Korea in 1871 prior to visiting the Lexington cemetery.
