Oh my goodness John, that is incredible! Now I'm too embarrassed to start my Guadalcanal campaign, with my very humble terrain. I can't wait to see some games on this. V/R, Jack |

That is something to bring joy to a true wargamers heart. That is excellent terrain! This is exactly the kind of thing that sucked me into this hobby.

Thank you very much, I appreciate all the positive comments. I am hoping I set it up so the terrain is easily varied. Once done it took about an hour to put it together that is not too bad, there are a lot of individual pieces. Not much to add for jungle terrain, I do plan to add an airstrip. Not sure if dirt or paved in the pacific. Have not had time to work out the scale yet, and need to pick out a couple of cheap 1/72 easy to assemble aircraft. Any suggestions for both Japanese and US? Your beach strip can double as a runway because you did not add the blue for water |

Most US strips were graded earth which was covered by PSP (Perforated/Piereced Steel Planking) known as Marston Mat. That Mat could be covered by crushed coral or rock as well. There is a ton of reasonably priced, pre-painted 1/72 scale aircraft out there. Ebay a good place to pick up a deal on them. |

You know John, at first I thought the beach was an airstrip! Very little work to make it "proper". If you want! Really beautiful stuff there, Sir! And thanks Ugly for your kind comment to me also! Peter |
