All,
I have two pen and ink prints that were given to me in the 1970s. Both depict French Napoleonic soldiers and are signed "D. Abbott". I have often thought about selling them, but I cannot find any information on who D. Abbott is, or whether these are worth anything.

Worth an image? Depending on size, you could scan or at least post a photo?

Are these modern or antique style (latter too good to be true)?

They may be cut from a modern book or instead they could be the long lost sketch book of a Waterloo veteran…from the morning of 18th June (you are suddenly able to buy a UK Premier League football club). Give us a clue……

Without that no one can advise.

Why now sell something you have kept for 45 years? You must really value them to have kept so long. Well worth finding out their provenance though……you may value them more. I hope the end result is you keep them and treasure them…..not trade them in for the price of two new tyres on a Jeep Grand Cherokee (ouch..I know)

They are pen and ink drawings on heavy, good quality paper. The artist signature is on them, and the date 1974. Why sell? They've been sitting in a box under my gaming table. As to photos, they are under glass, so I expect there would be glare.

Can tilt them….
