I'm working on a project for the siege of Kut and having read several books (The Siege, Death of an Army) I'm under the impression that the British trenches were long without a lot of the corners/turns found on the Western Front. Am I mistaken? Also does anyone have any pictures of the "Fort" that anchored the flank of the defenses at Kut? I haven't found any to date.

Thanks!

There are some descriptions worth reading here if you haven't, but no picture.
