What Winston said. I ignore it. It would be better to remove it from the member display if it can't be fixed, but no one bothers. It's a broken piece of code, and an embarrassment. |

It should be like a slot machine. If the post number you are assigned on a particular day is your actual post count, you should win a prize. |

Back when the post count was "accurate", much to my surprise I (the OFM) was shown to be the high poster. By a long shot. This came out of the blue when Dear Editor Bill linked to the statistics and … there I was. #1.
There are and were those who accused me of posting merely to increase my post count. That makes no sense. I already had the lead and didn't even know it. Why change my behavior merely to get a record I never knew I had? |

You all make a good point. It serves no real purpose, other than just a "Fun Fact" kind of thing.
But all the same if its not working, why have it? A member since Dec 2013. I "just" ck'd my profile, it says I have "516 Forum Posts". Amazing because less than 6 months ago it showed I had less than a 12 at that time. Who knows, Maybe they Fixed the darn thing? Or its just playing "pick a number". |

When I turned one year old (here,that is) in December, I checked to see how much of a blabbermouth I was. C. 890 posts--Geez.You made me go back and look again--over 4,000?! I don't think I drank that much eggnog over the holidays! |
