Little 500 point Meeting Engagement tonight with Volksgrenadier against US Armoured… just a pick up game as a break from our campaign.

Ended in a US win, thanks to German reinforcements arriving is dribs and drabs, and the Germans managing to draw 19 br on only four chits in one turn!

But one StuG weathered it all… two Bazooka rounds in one turned bounced off, resulting in a heroic burst of MG fire from one of the crew, only to have a Hellcat rush out of the woods and slam a 90mm round into it in the same turn… and then see that too fail to pentrate and only pin the crew! Who promptly got straight back into action with a bit of urging from the CO and knocked out the troublesome Hellcat…

They didnt survive to get their medals though. The next fusillade of bazooka fire put an end to their volatile, but short lived assault gun career…

Fabulous as usual…it's very depressing for we mere mortals.

Good stuff. Especially like the 'what if?' picture of a stug on Arakis (a simple photoshop eye and some teeth and mr.herbert would be proud). Looking forward to the sci-fi battlegroup game ;)

only to have a Hellcat rush out of the woods and slam a 90mm round into it …

The Hellcat (M18) had a 76mm gun. The 90mm was on the M36 Jackson.

I've got that house too and can't remember who made it….

Nice sized for 20mm games though.
