Just had an order from Gringos and finished painting some of the lovely and unusual Napoleonic figures. Service is as always first class and the figures – virtually flash free- are in beautiful poses and the sculpting is marvellous. They paint up beautifully. Any more in the pipeline Ged and any chance of a hint at what they might be? Or is that classified information at the moment. thanks for the great figures Ged Best Wishes davejl |

Can anyone recommend 28mm miniatures for the Battle of Valmy? |

Believe Foundry have the Prussians. Probably French too |

Try Eureka in Australia they have some very nice French units, for Prussians – try Foundry |

Sadly, due to scale creep the two won't be compatible in size: Eureka are recent 28s, i.e. tending towards 30mm, while Foundry's 1790s Prussians are early Perry sculpts, still pretty close to true 25mm. The French would be facing off against their kid brothers… |

I've got the Foundry Prussians -I'm not sure what to do about the French -maybe Dixons. The Foundry French aren't scruffy enough. I'm only talking DBN here anyway so not hordes of minis.

Sounds like the famous bug again. So we will never know just what DaveJL got from Gringos40. My tartars are nearly done (at long last)……I love them. Really obscure, ephemeral, unit |
