We seem to have settled into the new apartment and the painting sessions, although fewer this week than last, are adding more painted figures to the collection.

This week I've added six Christian Caballeros / Jinetes:

A few more African Spearmen and Black Guard to add to existing units:

Not really relevant to El Cid but a mystic to use if I decide to play Frostgrave or similar with the collection:

As usual, more images and commentary on Scrivsland: link

Fantastically well painted Scrivs. Like the way you've done the shields yourself. Love the guy on the flying carpet. Thought for a moment he had his middle finger up!
Bravo. Who makes these figures?

Also like the way you've bordered the flag with black. Don't see that much and it is very effective.

Flying guy is calling his shot. Like the great Bambino.

I like the flying carpet! Neat idea! Great work on all of the figures.

So tell me again why I can't use Normans as Spanish reconquista early early/mid?

Cheers chaps.

Normans should be fine to use, add a few round shields, tassles and model some with Spanish headgear and you cannot go far wrong.
