Bonjour Chaps,

Just wondered how similar/interchangeable theses are as I'd like some to use with my 28mm Front Rank and Elite Russian artillery.

Reckon that Perrys' ones will be a tad too small as are Old Glory.

Currently leaning towards using Calpe Prussian limbers painted Russian "limber green" plus Front Rank cavalry as outriders!

I know that's not perfect but best that I can think of.

Any input about how far from accurate this would be would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Paul

I would still consider the Perry Russian limber range, they are absolutely superb even though they do not exactly fit with Front Rank (or do they?) I tdoesn't bother me much. You can also try to pressure Front Rank into releasing some Russian limber teams (something I do with every order I place) they might just get round to it.

Actually there quite different but yet both often have that connecting rod from front tree back to the wheels. Russian horses used the high collars on some uses. Alas a lot of the information I gathered in my computer when I was scratch building limbers and cassions is unavailable do to it crashing. But anyway 15 -28 not sure anyone will notice. Much of the Prussian equipment came from the British as well. The Russians also used a in line horse team (one I decided to scratch build)

Bicorne Miniatures ( which owns Connoisseur range ) has these:CON-G013 – Russian Limber. I have the French limbers and they fit in well with Front Rank. You might give them a look.

The Perry Russian artillery and wagons are superb and nothing like the OG material. I don't see an issue with using Perry limbers with FR.

Hi,

Many thanks for your input.

I've been persuaded by the pro-Perry arguments so I've ordered 12!
I'll also have a look at the Bicorne/Connoisseur ones.

Thanks again.

Cheers,

Paul
