That's great. I've worked in open-pit mines next to some big stuff, but that thing is frighteningly huge! I can only imagine what sort of safety regs you'd need for light vehicles around that thing: 100m tall buggy-whips with revolving lights on top? |

Can't say I'd let light vehicles near it with the drum running. Maybe you could use a transponder system to aid collision avoidance? The work that CAT has done with autonomous haul trucks does similar. |

I've contacted the Health and Safety office at the Khazari Mining Corps and they said they anyone who goes within 50 metres of the rig must wear goggles, gloves and either a crash helmet or a seat belt |
